Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. My name is Martin, I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and I am currently accepting new clients. For the past 10 years I have been working as a CBT Therapist with the NHS specialising in working with Depression & Anxiety Conditions. I hold a particular interest in working with clients presenting with Low Mood/Low Self Esteem and General Anxiety. I left the NHS in 2023 to work full time in private practice and I offer both online and face to face sessions.

My Training has predominantly been in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is one of the most evidenced based therapies in the treatment of depression and anxiety based conditions. The CBT Model provides a framework that explores the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, behaviours. By exploring the relationship between these different areas I will support you to make positive changes to your life. Sometimes this may involve exploring the relationship between the past and present events.

Prior to qualifying as a CBT Therapist in 2015 I worked in the substance misuse field specifically working with addiction services. Since qualifying as a CBT therapist I have mainly been working with NHS adult mental health services. Between 2018 - 2023 I worked with an NHS service that specialised in working with long term health conditions such as Diabetes and Chronic Pain. For the past 12 months I have been working solely in private practice offering both online and face to face sessions in central Brighton. This work has mainly involved working with clients experiencing anxiety/depression/low self esteem. I hold a particular interest in working with low self esteem specifically in adults.
