Therapists
I am a warm, personable and compassionate counsellor and have experience of working with a diverse range of clients and problems in person, online and by telephone for both short and long term periods. I help clients to explore their issues, relationships and history in order to enable them to facilitate change in their lives.
I am a BACP qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor working with individual clients. An integrative approach brings together different elements / approaches to therapy which best fit you and your therapeutic needs as the client, rather than one fixed approach for everyone. My integrative approach puts the relationship between counsellor and client at the forefront of the work. As well as talking about what is going on for you in the present day, we might explore your past and/or what is happening on a subconscious level, in order to enable you to understand yourself and your feelings better.
I have worked in various therapy settings including short-term interventions and assessments for Mind and as a Student Counsellor for London Metropolitan University. I am a BACP accredited Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression practitioner and a Royal National Institute of the Blind (RNIB) accredited Sight Loss practitioner. Before retraining to be a counsellor I worked in Human Resources for many years. I am a BACP registered therapist and adhere to their ethical framework. I am also listed on Pink Therapy.
