I have worked as an NHS Psychoanalytic Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist since 2008, and in private practice since 2016. I treat people up to age 25, across a range of mental-health and emotional presentations. I work adaptively and with sensitivity according to individual need.

I endeavour to develop a trusting relationship that  feels safe enough to explore past and present experience, future goals and aspirations. Bringing appropriately paced awareness to underlying thoughts and feelings can support understanding and an integration of previously unrecognised aspects of the self. Over time, the work can support growth of authenticity, emotional wellbeing, day-to-day functioning, and more fulfilling ways of living and relating. Confidentiality is central so I do not share what is discussed by those I see unless they consent, or if they disclose risk to themselves or others. I am able to share my understandings and impressions of those I see as part of helping parents understand and support their child. I provide Parent Work and I am trained in the PACE parenting approach. I provide supervision to other psychotherapists and counsellors. Initial phone consultation up to 20 minutes at no charge. Sessions & Review Meetings (50 minutes): £80. Report/letter writing: £70.00 per hour I can provide online sessions, but like to first meet face to face at least once.

I completed 2 years of Infant Observation Studies, followed by 4 years training in Psychoanalytic Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy. I have worked 20 years in the NHS, 3 years as a Group Worker in an adolescent psychiatric inpatient unit, then 17 years as a Psychotherapist in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Alongside private practice, I continue to work as a Senior Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist in CAMHS. Qualifications: M Psych-Psych: Psychoanalytic Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy, Tavistock NHS Clinic, London PGDip: Infant Observation Studies & Infant Development Research, Tavistock NHS Clinic, London BA (hons): Information Communication Design, Middlesex University
