Therapists
I am a qualified Counselling Professional with a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the University of Brighton. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients with concerns ranging from bereavement, domestic abuse, relationship issues, career obstacles, difficulties with body image and many others. I particularly focus on the role of emotions; those which come easier than others, and the way these inform our behaviour. I also work a lot with imagery and metaphor and find that creative work can be of use when words fail us.
I offer open-ended therapy, the length of which can be mutually negotiated between us. My intention is, simply, to provide a space in which you can better your understanding of yourself; your emotional responses, your relationships, and your story.
Having originally studied Psychology and Sociology, I became aware that while the bigger picture is interesting what fascinates me most are individuals - their stories and experiences and the ways that they relate to others. I qualified in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling in 2017, and worked voluntarily at Rock Clinic from January 2016 to December 2017. I have since worked with a diverse range of clients in private practice. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
