I am a Hove based fully qualified Integrative counsellor and take a special interest in anxiety, burn-out, neurodiversity (incl self diagnosis and/or thoughts about) and loss (ie sense of self or identity, bereavement, relationship, etc). I offer so called ‘precision therapy’ which means I can adapt your counselling to you. I do this in a warm Trauma informed way, so we can create a counselling relationship which will help you in your everyday life. My fees are £55 for 50 minutes and I sometimes have concessionary rates available. We can discuss your preferred approach and what your thoughts about counselling are during a free initial meeting.

You might be struggling and feel anxious, depressed, worried, lost, unsettled or have been bereaved. There might have been Trauma in your life which impacts every day experiences at the moment. I can offer you a confidential, calming, friendly and understanding space to talk about this all and try to help you understand your experiences better and find a positive way forward. Starting counselling can be a scary idea sometimes, especially if you are new to it. I will, therefore, offer you a free informal meeting to discuss things. You can take some time to decide and after that, if it feels right, try a few sessions. I will explain and offer transparency as we go along. This includes conversations about the amount of counselling sessions you want to have and the goals and expectations you might hold about what counselling could mean for you. Choosing the right counsellor is very important so I offer a free initial meeting of approximately 20 - 30 minutes so we can chat about things informally. You can contact me and leave a message by email or phone or use the functionality of this website and I will get back to you. I work from comfortable, welcoming rooms and furthermore, qualified and experienced to meet you via Zoom and by phone. Everyone is unique and I therefore offer Counselling sessions which will be individualised to your preference. For example, you might like to have structure to your sessions or follow a more fluid process. You might like or try CBT and/or explore childhood experiences. We can talk about specific strategies or you might want a confidential space to talk freely, offload and being listened to. As an Integrative Counsellor I can draw on a wide range of tools to accommodate your needs and preferences. I originally trained in Psychodynamic, CBT and Person Centred theories and can explain how this informs me in a Trauma informed way. Neuroscience, Mindfulness and Somatic influences are hugely important to me as well and can also be very helpful to try and make sense or establish helpful coping strategies for difficult circumstances. We can discuss your preferred approach and what your thoughts about counselling are during a free initial meeting.

Prior to training as a counsellor and becoming fully qualified and experienced, I was a full time mother for some time after working in corporate environments (in UK and Europe). My counselling experience, training, other life experiences and my previous careers inform my adapting, gentle, open minded trauma informed approach. It has taught me that life can be very hard, challenging for lots of reasons and how important positive relationships with ourselves and the people around us are. I am a registered member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) which means I have been vetted by the organisation and adhere to their Ethical Professional Standard.
