At times situations or events in life, can cause worry or continuous thoughts and feelings which we can’t seem to overcome. This can throw us off balance as feelings of anxiety, stress and depression surface. For many years, I have worked with people to manage their thoughts and behaviours. I work from an integrative stance, meaning that I can adopt a way of working which is personalised to each individual person. I blend psychodynamic psychotherapy, humanistic counselling and techniques from acceptance and commitment therapy which helps my clients to move further towards what they want and how they want to be in life. I skilfully managing the thoughts and behaviours which have kept clients angry, anxious, upset, sad and ultimately away from their goals. I tend to start with an assessment of one's past to make sense of thoughts, unconscious processes and behaviours in the present. I also coach for performance, life change and balance, having coached people primarily from the creative arts, and music sectors. I am qualified and therefore make a conscious and positive decision to work by the BACP code of ethics, which is integral for client/therapist trust and safety.

My own background is diverse in heritage as is my family background. Due to this I have worked with people all over the world and people in non-traditional family settings, blended families etc. I also have experience of working with childhood bereavement, parental separation, identity and self-discovery and the impact this has on relationships and feeling secure in oneself.
