Coming along to therapy for the first time can feel exposing. It's important to remember that you are not alone in any difficulties you're facing. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space for my clients to talk, think and grow. Therapy can be about making specific changes so that life feels more meaningful, rewarding or less overwhelming. Or it can simply be an opportunity to be properly heard, to reflect and get to know yourself better I am a HCPC-registered senior Clinical Psychologist working privately and in an NHS community service.

I work mainly in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) and compassion focussed therapy (CFT) modalities. However, I also draw on ideas from mindfulness based approaches, psychodynamic, systemic, humanistic, and third wave therapies like acceptance and commitment therapy. offer a free initial consultation over the telephone, for up to 20 minutes. This allows us to get a sense of the problems and briefly think through what might be a helpful next step - please get in touch to arrange this. Thereafter I offer therapy at £95 per 50 minute session.

I have fifteen years of experience in mental health services. Over that time I have supported people in their recovery from diverse problems such as depression, low self-esteem/ low self-confidence, stress, anxiety disorders like panic disorder, phobias, social anxiety, OCD and PTSD. Aside from therapy, I also provide teaching, supervision and consultation as part of my professional practice. I am passionate about continuing to learn and to improve my practice, where possible through formal research. My research has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
