I am an Integrative Counsellor, working within a person-centred framework. I believe you have the answers to what you need and what you want your life to look like and I can provide a safe, non judgmental and confidential space for you to work out how you can get there. As well as providing counselling I also offer clinical supervision, reflective practice for frontline staff and LGBTQ community consultancy. www.crosslandcounselling.com

I offer shorter term counselling of 6 sessions, working in a solution focused way, to help you learn tools and techniques for working through issues such as work related stress, anxiety, boundary setting and managing emotions. I also offer 12 session blocks with a focus on one or more issues or challenges you are facing, with the option of extending these if needed. Issues include – relationship difficulties, managing mental health, finding direction and purpose, exploring sexuality and gender. I am a LGBTQ affirmative therapist. I am aware that we live in a heteronormative and cisnormative society and how this can impact on our self worth and cause feelings of shame, doubt, loneliness, anxiety and depression. Counselling can help provide a safe space to explore these and other difficulties without feeling judged or misunderstood. I work with clients in monogamous, polyamorous and open relationships and offer individual and relationship counselling. Do make contact if you would like to arrange an initial session where you can tell me abit about yourself and the support you need and ask me any questions you have. We can then decide if I am the right person to work with you. I am currently working in-person in Brighton and Hove, online and on the phone.

I have worked in mental health for over 20 years, within the homeless sector and LGBT advocacy. I also co-founded Sensing Friends, an eco-therapy charity supporting young people with sensory needs. www.sensingfriends.org
