I am a warm and compassionate person and naturally put people at ease. Please contact me for a free 20 minute initial phone consultation.
I have a person-centred approach to therapy. I am a sensitive and intuitive person and would work with you providing a place you can feel safe and supported to talk about anything that may come up for you. I am interested in how to work best with you and will do my best to accommodate any preferences you may have and be flexible in approach. I will offer support and challenge you to reflect on your experiences, understand limiting long-held beliefs and re-connect with yourself to find new perspectives from within. Given the right conditions, everyone is capable of finding true self-acceptance and fulfilment in life. I offer you a warm welcome and a calm place to feel heard as the person you are. I recognise the courage it takes to begin counselling and have much respect for your personal experience.
I completed my training as a person-centred counsellor in Brighton. I have experience working with various genders and sexualities and am LGBTQ- allied. I welcome clients of all ethnicities, faiths, backgrounds and abilities. I have a special interest in working with neuro-divergent clients. Prior to starting my private practice, I worked as a counsellor and support group facilitator with Carers Support West Sussex. I have seen clients affected by issues such as anxiety and depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, domestic abuse and more. I have experience providing counselling in person and by phone. My background covers the primary care sector of the NHS, linking in with local council-run services, charities and independent organisations. I have great insight and understanding into the demands on healthcare workers and public service workers.
