Therapists
I work in a sensitive and supportive way with individuals experiencing a range of difficulties, with a high focus on promoting self-understanding and empowerment.
My approaches are grounded in attachment theory, trauma recovery theory, neurodiversity understanding and working within a transcultural context. I use talking therapy with the option of turning towards somatic experiences and creative approaches to support the therapeutic experience.
Prior to training as a therapist I worked in the education sector for nineteen years initially working within SEND contexts before qualifying as a secondary school teacher in 2013. During this time I witnessed over and over the power of relational bonding and connection to support with growth and change, and it was this premise which inspired me to retrain as a therapist in 2019. My part-time practice in dance had given me many opportunities to facilitate connection and transformation and I was fortunate to be able to combine my experience with dance with my passion for nurturing growth and healing.
