Specialist in Neurodivergence with a Integrative Humanistic Approach Registered member of the BACP Online and face-to-face sessions in Brighton
My passion is working with neurodivergent young people and adults, including those with ADHD, Autism, and related experiences such as Demand Avoidance, Rejection Sensitivity, OCD and rumination, and emotional overwhelm or burnout. I also work with co-occurring matters like depression, anxiety, bereavement, relationship issues and trauma. We look at these parts through your neurodivergent lens to gain understanding and awareness of how you see the world. I’m a Humanistic Integrative Therapeutic Counsellor, working mainly in Transactional Analysis, Gestalt and CBT modalities. My approach means that you are the expert in yourself, exploring your experiences and how they have shaped you as a person. Empathy is a core part of the process, as I seek to understand your experiences without judgement or expectation. I prioritise the person-centred values of the Humanistic approach, offering a relationship built on empathy and genuine understanding. Alongside this, I work in a way that is thoughtful, honest and sometimes direct, so I may ask difficult questions, gently challenge patterns or beliefs, and invite you to consider perspectives that you have not previously considered. I can assure you that this will always be done with respect and curiosity – never judgement.
Began in special needs education, developed further skills in a variety of settings and have pursued my passion for the neurodivergent individual's progress and growth.
