Therapists
I am a Brighton & Hove-based therapist dedicated to creating affirming and safe spaces for individuals to explore their experiences and find meaningful connections to life. Whether through our relationships with others, animals, or the natural world, I believe these connections enrich our existence. Through shared experiences and the journey of therapy, we can uncover deeper understanding about ourselves and our place in the world. As a queer, non-binary individual, I am passionate about fostering inclusive environments where people can freely explore their identities, emotions, and experiences. My practice focuses on Art Psychotherapy and Environmental Arts Therapy, blending creative expression with the therapeutic power of nature to facilitate self-discovery and healing. I welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community and neurodivergent individuals. While I strive to provide a compassionate atmosphere, I recognize that my approach may not be for everyone. If this resonates with you and you feel a connection to my work, I encourage you to reach out.
My approach encompasses both person-centered and psychodynamic perspectives. Grounded in empathy and fostering a non-judgmental environment, my practice is deeply person-centered, ensuring that clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Drawing from psychodynamic principles, I explore the unconscious dynamics that influence thoughts and behaviors, providing insight into underlying patterns. Depending on the individuals needs and the approach that is most beneficial; I run online, in-person and outdoor nature-based therapy. Often, clients have their initial session online and then formulate a plan moving forward whether that be working outdoors, in person or online.
I am a qualified Art Psychotherapist (MA) and Certified Environmental Arts Therapist, with nearly five years of experience in the NHS and over a decade working across education, charity, and community sectors. I offer one-to-one and group therapy for adults and children, specialising in anxiety, PTSD, depression, neurodivergence, learning disabilities, and relational difficulties. I welcome individuals from GSRD (gender, sexual, and relationship diversity) communities and create inclusive, affirming spaces. Registered with BAAT and HCPC, I offer both in-person and outdoor therapy, integrating creative expression and nature-based approaches to foster healing. I also run low-cost workshops to make therapy more accessible.
