I work with cultural sensitivity using a mixture of humanistic therapeutic modalities including Transactional Analysis, and Person Centered Therapy. I also like to invite clients to use art and creative methods to aid expression. I will provide a confidential and trauma informed space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviour patterns, break free of your barriers and live your life with more authenticity. My approach can help if you are experiencing grief, loss, identity issues, depression, anxiety, loneliness, and low self esteem. I will listen with non-judgemental kindness, patience, and compassion. Fees: Online and Telephone Counselling £35-£50, In-Person Counselling (Glynde, Lewes, Brighton) £60, Walk and Talk Therapy £45. For more info please send me a message, or visit my website: www.brighterdayscounselling.com

I have 25 years experience working within the third sector as a Support Worker and Advocate for vulnerable and marginalised children, young people and adults in and around Brighton and Hove. I directly supported a diverse range of people to overcome disadvantage and discrimination. EG: growing up in care, childhood trauma, disabilities, mental health conditions, poverty, addictions, homelessness. I was trained to work in a person centred and trauma informed way, and discovered the value of taking time to sit with a person equal to equal, and listen without judgement or agenda to how they experience the world. I decided to study to become a Counsellor after experiencing a personal bereavement in 2019. During my counselling training, I had a 2 year online voluntary placement at a culturally sensitive counselling service for Black and Asian Minority Ethnic individuals and all individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds living in the UK. I qualified as a professional Counsellor in 2022, and have been developing my private practice (Brighter Days Counselling) for 3 years.
