I provide online one-to-one therapy, or walk and talk therapy in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding area. I offer both short-term counselling or longer-term psychotherapy. I offer a free 30 minute consultation which provides you with the opportunity to meet with me, ask any questions and address any anxieties you might have before deciding whether I am the right counsellor for you. I have worked extensively with people who have experienced anxiety, or suffer from low confidence or self esteem, as well as supporting people who are struggling in their relationships or career. I have a particular interest, and experience, in working with parents, carers and people at work who are experiencing overwhelm and burnout. Life can be difficult, unpredictable and chaotic. Sometimes we can believe that we are 'doomed' to a life we must just 'get' through, and we can feel overwhelmed, anxious and lacking in self confidence. Or we get stuck in repetitive patterns in our relationships or career that continue to make us miserable. Your needs, your difficulties and your way of communicating is unique, and therefore I respond to your needs by going beyond a one-size-fits-all approach. My aim is to support you to make changes in your life. I will not be able to resolve the issues for you, but can help to identify the underlying causes, facilitate the development of your self awareness and provide you with specific strategies or techniques so you can make the changes you would like. I believe each person already has in them the natural desire to grow, and that is what therapy with me is all about: personal growth. I can offer you a space away from the outside world where respect, acceptance, kindness, clarity, collaboration and patience are placed in the centre of our therapeutic relationship.

I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and a member of the National Counselling Society. My main modality is Transactional Analysis (TA), although I use an integrative approach with clients, combining TA with my knowledge of psychodynamic, relational and CBT approaches. Having worked in learning, development and employee wellbeing for over fifteen years means I have the experience and skills to develop solid and compassionate relationships with people of various ages, genders and backgrounds supporting those people with a wide range of issues.
